Since November 2016 liberals and the media have been pushing a fantasy scenario where Donald Trump gets impeached. Their reasons don't matter, they have promised to impeach him no matter the cost or reason. Maxine Waters and other Democrats have suggested that impeachment isn't enough. Comedians and college professors have suggested Trump be assassinated, to the cheers of liberals across the country. All of this talk fires up the crazy progressives and fascist liberals and have ended up with massive displays of violence including riots and mass shootings.
What liberals and the enemies of Trump do not understand is that the battle is over. They think their opponent is Donald Trump but he is just the current champion of the "average American". The real winner of the 2016 election was the oft-forgotten citizen who was told they were irredeemable. Now we have moved onto the next battle for the soul of America.
Democrats and social justice warriors told middle-America that they should be ashamed of being successful. They should be ashamed of not being successful. They should be ashamed if they didn't "identify" as something other than cis-gender. Whites were told to be ashamed of their race. Blacks were told they should be violent against others and it was expected. Non-Americans were told they were more important than American citizens. Politicians, social justice warriors, and even the media have waged a decade's long war against the great oppressors, working class men and women.
Now a new war is being fought. Not the battle for who will win the support of the people, that fight is over. The war now is the elitists and social justice warriors trying to tell the rest of America that their choice is invalid. The fight now is to bring down Trump at all costs and invalidate the will of the people who elected him in favor of the elites in power.
Since the election was decided, Democrats and their allies have pushed the narrative that Trump didn't really win and even the election itself was invalid. News media even did interviews where people claimed that without a win in California, Trump's victory was meaningless. The fact that Clinton won California by such a huge margin has been used to justify claiming that she, and not Trump won the general election. This talk, while amusing, has translated into action.
We have seen security leaks of classified and confidential information out of the White House directed against President Trump since before he was even sworn in. Former Obama staffers have even said they urged others to leak the information. There has been a concerted effort to bring Donald Trump down even if it means breaking laws and hurting the country. Even the director of the FBI admitted under oath that he leaked a memo about a confidential meeting with Donald Trump in an effort to force the appointment of his mentor as a special counsel, a successful tactic.
Now I'd like to get into the reason why these tactics are particularly dangerous to our country. Mike Huckabee once said that Trump was middle-America's final peaceful attempt at a revolution. By that, I believe he meant the corruption and dishonesty within our government had gotten so bad that the working class is ready to revolt in order to bring change. This means that if Donald Trump is stopped from making the attempt to change things by the existing power structure, his supporters may decide that they need to exert force to bring about reforms to "drain the swamp".
Take for instance the numerous polls which show that while people are generally dissatisfied with the job Trump has done, his still retains the support of those who elected him. Media elites and liberals point to this as proof of their "deplorable", uneducated, and ignorant state. The truth is that they still support him because he is attempting to follow through on his promises.
Compared to the crimes of Hillary Clinton, everything Trump has been accused of doesn't even rise to the level of "concerning". Clinton was given a free pass by the media and the Washington power structure for her many crimes against the nation. Barak Obama killed American citizens without due process based on a court case the Supreme Court later struck down and the elites never held him accountable for those murders, again a far cry from the worst that Trump has been accused. The Washington elites have set the bar so high on outrage that their attacks on Trump only shows their hypocrisy and further angers those who voted Trump into power. Should they use their positions to remove Trump, they would be telling the people of America that nothing short of violence will challenge the corruption and ineptitude in Washington.
While cries for equal justice are going unheeded, a recent poll shows support for an independent counsel to investigate Clinton has reached 75% support from Americans. Yet the establishment continues to excuse and cover up for her. A close deputy of Clinton, Wasserman-Shultz recently took a page from Clinton's book involving her own legal controversy and blamed a "right-wing conspiracy" against her. All of this is seen as normal and perfectly acceptable to the media and the sycophants who uphold the status quo. America was founded on the principles of Equal Justice, something denied today.
Until those in power are held to the same legal standards as the rest of America, a power vacuum will exist that endangers the health and stability of our nation. The symptoms of this disease is the corruption and dysfunction we see in Washington. While the solutions are legion, the simple first step that is embodied in Trump are important to the American people. By trying to remove this hope for a better and functional nation, the elites run the danger of triggering a "French Revolution" style uprising.
While extremists exist on both sides of the political aisle, it is those allied with the Democrats who have been violent over the last few years. America has sat back and watched the slide of the Democratic Party into classic Fascism much to the acclaim and urging of the media, liberal professors, and politicians. The very definition of Fascism is attacked and changed instead of recognizing what has happened. With the rise of Fascism in this country, those who oppose them are demonized, marginalized, and patronized. These targeted individuals also happen to be those who support Trump.
The backlash has been building against the Fascist actions of the fringe as well as the dysfunction and corruption in Washington. While violence by the fringe has been encouraged and laws set aside to appease a minority, the majority of Americans have been quietly seething, their rage building. The Impeachment of Trump while letting those opposed to him disregard the law would be a clarion bell to those in the heartland that the system is truly broken. All that is left is either surrender or rebellion. Given the anger observed over the last several years at the atrocities committed by the elite, an explosive rebellion seems the likely outcome.

The Sunny Side of Night (political news)
Over the last few months I've made an effort to daily check three news sites so I can see what different people are seeing as news. I've chosen to read Sky News, CNN, and Fox News for my news sources. Sometimes I go to BBC News or read regional news like one of Israel's sites. Taking this approach, I've gotten a whole new view of both the world and how truly unbalanced and biased our media really has become.
This morning I got up and started to read the news regarding yesterday's special election in Georgia. Foreign news services have nothing to say about this remarkable election, perhaps they see it as a worthless piece of fluff. CNN and other liberal news sites though have turned the loss into a moral win for the Democrats. Fox News has offered mixed news about it showing the trouble Democrats are in as well as the bright side of the numbers over the last five special elections.
What get's me though is the complete disconnect between the multiple news sites. Almost universally, liberal news sites such as CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, and major magazines are claiming the $25 - $40 million dollar loss in Georgia wasn't really a loss. The consensus seems to be building that Ossoff was flawed in that he wasn't progressive enough. Pundants are pushing for the Democrats to put up more candidates like Bernie Sanders or even Nancy Pelosi to run in rural areas against Republicans. Fox News has no consensus yet but agree that Ossoff was a bad candidate because he had no experience and didn't even live in the district for which he was running.
Reading CNN especially, not a single article framed the Georgia special election as anything but a silver lined learning experience. While some articles blame Ossoff for being too moderate, others say he should have embraced the leadership and spoke more about the Trump resistance. Two articles even mentioned the money spent, 97% came from out of state, as being the reason Republican's should be concerned because Democrats would be able to spend that much money anywhere they wanted in 2018 apparently ignoring the fact that all 435 seats will be up in the House then and spending between 8 and 12 Billion dollars just on House seats in an election cycle is beyond the ability of any political party.
Mostly though from reading the different news sites though it has become crystal clear why our nation has become so polarized. Most sites seem to report on any rumor about Trump as fact while making sure their retractions are buried too deep to ruin their narrative. Other times the reporters color the news with opinion so as to craft the narrative in a way to influence their readers to think the way they want. It has become obvious too that news sites ignore news that they feel may reflect negatively on their chosen champion or cause. CNN and NBC especially have become the networks to champion the "creative edit" of video and audio clips to take things out of context or create something that didn't happen to drive their agenda. What I have seen is the very real sensationalist tabloid style journalism taking over network news. Although Fox News also sometimes falls to the opinionated pseudo-news at least those articles are actually marked Opinion.
We've heard both the Democrats and Republican's bemoan "fake news" and it's effect on our country. The simple truth is that they are right about false narratives masquerading as news. In my opinion, the White House needs to categorize news agencies and revoke access for those who are in the tabloid category. They should create three categories for journalist. Tier 1 should be for the few sites who report facts without opinion. Tier 2 should be for mixed sites but those who report truthfully. Tier 3 should be tabloid news where CNN, The Enquirer, The Sun, MSNBC, Breitbart, Politico, Mother Jones, New York Times, Washington Post, Infowars, and many others should be relegated. Any site who promotes as top news conspiracy theories without proof should be given a warning and then be dropped to Tier 3 if they continue with the discredited or disproven "news". In the age of cyber, someone needs to take a stand for journalistic integrity and hold news agencies to the standards we held Cronkite and Woodard in the days of old.
Also... a few days ago I read a news report on Fox News about the State Department continuing it's probe of Hillary Clinton's mishandling of classified email. No, this isn't old news from before the election... it's current and just getting released. At stake for Clinton is at lease having her classified clearance revoked, but at worse she could be prosecuted under Title 18 crimes. This investigation was put on hold by John Kerry so the FBI investigation could continue and was never restarted once the FBI concluded theirs. The State Department IG got involved when people complained that Kerry was obstructing justice by stopping the investigation. The IG report was VERY damning of Kerry, the FBI, and the State Department. The IG report had the effect of getting Rex Tillerson to step in and order the investigation completed.
What got me most about this wasn't the restarted investigation itself, nor was it the IG report accusing Comey and Kerry of obstruction. What got me most is that Hillary Clinton and her top staff STILL have top secret security clearance. Their clearance is granted by the State Department and is normally revoked shortly after someone leaves the job. In Clinton's case, she should have had it revoked in 2013. Although an argument can be made that she could have retained it at the behest of Obama who wanted her to be able to advise him, this argument doesn't work for peripheral individuals such as the rest of her campaign staff. Other than Fox News though, only one other news site covered the announcement by the State Department and that was the BBC. No other news site in the US or abroad covered it other than the BBC and Fox News. It's been a couple of days now and still no word from any agency controlled by Democrats that their would be queen is again in serious trouble....

Joy in Hatred
This is a conversation I recently heard that had me astounded.
Person A: "Did you hear about the Arab country, I don't remember which one, that is rounding up all the gays... the transexual, the uhh.. the lesbian, and all the .. uhh..."
Person B: "Faggots."
Person A: "umm.. they are rounding them up and killing them."
Person B: Burst out laughing. "Killing all the fags! Great!"
Person A: Sits there staring at person B
Person B: Still laughing. "I mean.. it's not like they are going to heaven. They are all going to hell anyway so..."
Person A: Looks away but doesn't say anything
Person B: "It says it right in the bible, they are going to hell. Corinthians or something, they are gonna burn. God doesn't care about them so whatever. I might not know exactly what verse but I know it's in the bible. Those dick suckers are gonna burn." Starts laughing and talking faster. "I mean, if they kill all the fags that's their... that's judging them but God already judged them."
Person A: Says something I couldn't hear.
Person B: "I mean God already says they are all going to hell. So whatever... they are just going to hell. God doesn't love them. I mean... I don't care what they do but, they are already judged. If a man wants to suck another mans cock, that's his business. I just don't... I mean.. they are just going to go to hell so.... It's not right... I'm not judging them, God has judged them. It says right there, if a man lays down with another man like a woman. I mean.. it says it right there.... They are going to hell anyway so...."
Person B looks around
Person B "God hates them and says they will go to hell along with all their friends. If you try to be friends with one you are going to hell.... it says that. I mean... You can do what you want to do but you are gonna go to hell. Fags are going to hell. Whatever...."
Person A gets up and walks out of the room leaving person B alone.
I sat there a long time after this conversation wanting to say something but realizing that trying to even address what was wrong with the attitude of Person B was futile. I never did find out what Person A was trying to say about the situation so I don't know how they feel. Person B seemed to find joy and glory in the thought others being killed. Whatever conversation Person A was trying to have was cut short by the sheer joy Person B felt at hearing "gays were being killed". The lengths this person went to in justification of their feelings is startling. By their logic, anyone they feel God has judged ceases to have meaning or rights. By their logic, it seems like even defending someone whom they have decreed judged by God is a sin and lands you in the same arena as those they have already condemned.
I chose not to say who these people were and I would rather they not identify themselves since they are both Facebook friends of mine and people I know personally. To think that someone I know and am close to would have the ability to find joy in the thought of others being killed makes me feel sick. To know that they use the bible to justify their thoughts makes me sad. The thought of them believing a large group of people are unworthy of life is frightening.
To me, this conversation shows how mentally ill Person B and people like them really are. For them, any group who they can justify as being "bad" loses all rights. Not only that, but anyone who defends them apparently gets thrown in the same category. This is the type of mentality which has brought us all the atrocities through the ages. This is the kind of thinking that should scare civilized people. This is the kind of thinking that should land someone in a mental health examination.
Sadly, the above Person B will continue to think the way they do. The person will continue to hold hatred in their heart. The person will continue to use their own prejudices and hatred to justify their joy at other's expense. Sometimes I wish there were mental hygiene laws where people like that could get help for their sickness. The sad truth is that it's not a true sickness of the mind but a sickness of the soul. By professing such joy in the killing of those they claim God has judged, they show their truly corrupted hearts. The sole, overriding commandment that Jesus gave to us is simply to "love one another." Person B above has shown they are either unwilling or unable to do as Jesus commanded us. The irony was not lost on me but I doubt they could ever see it.

Alternate "Panic" Attack
Today I realized that I've been experiencing an alternative to panic attacks. I've been lucky, I thought, over the last couple of years and have had few actual panic attacks. For those who have never had a panic attack, let me explain very briefly what they actually are.
Panic attacks are uncontrollable, overwhelming, physical events that generally come upon a person with little warning and takes away their ability to interact with others and much of their physical control. It is an overwhelming attack on the mind and body of the person which normally ends only after a physical trauma such as passing out, vomiting, or being reduced to a quivering ball of mindless flesh.
After the events of today though, I realized I've been having a different type of panic attack over the last several years that I simply failed to name correctly. For clarification, I'll call them Rage attacks. That's right, no panic here... just unbridled rage.
Those who know me well are aware of my emotional breakdown years ago. I've struggled with depression, anxiety, and violent mood swings for the last 14 years or so now. For the first several years, I worked on trying to identify the causes of my frequent Panic Attacks and remove myself from situations where they would occur. For the most part, I've been successful. I've still been struggling with the less severe anxiety attacks and violent mood swings as well as the underlying depression. (I'm 9 out of 10 on the Major Depressive Disorder scale)
Here it becomes important to explain what I mean by violent mood swings. I have an inability to control my mood without medication. Even with medication, I am prone to sudden outbursts of anger. This is something I've been struggling with for a while and have been lucky that I haven't lost my wife due to the problem. We were separated in 2007 and very nearly got a divorce.
Many people, when told of this, just seem to brush it off as "oh, so you get angry." No, I don't get angry... I get overcome with rage and it takes all my ability and control (PHARMACEUTICAL AID REQUIRED) to keep from lashing out physically at those around me. Even though I can stop the physical lashing out with seclusion and medicine, I seldom can stop the verbal manifestations of my anger. This goes beyond me being a "smart ass" and I can't be around people very much once my mood swings kick in because I have very little control over what I say or do for a long time after they begin.
Today though, I realized another aspect of the mood swings and anger issues. Today I became angry at someone who had called me and the anger manifested in it's usual way when the object of my anger isn't present. I started having difficulty breathing. Bile began to rise and for lack of a better explanation I began to salivate excessively causing me to keep trying to spit to clear my air way. Mucus begun to build and drain from my nose quicker than I could wipe it away. My vision begun to darken and was shot through with streaks of light - the same effect someone has wile suffering from Hypoxia, or drowning. I began choking and coughing as the bile, mucus, and salivation prevented me further from gaining air. This finally culminated with me vomiting and virtually collapsing with weakness as my body struggled to normalize. Worse yet, this happened today while I was driving. Luckily I was able to pull over before my vision loss made that impossible and before the vomiting took away strength and control.
While I was undergoing these physical events, the anger inside of me kept building and rising. I was overcome with a sense of rage. If I had been in the presence of the individual who triggered this event, I would have attacked them. I was irrational and not in control of my mind, body, or emotions. Only after my body went through the trauma of forced vomiting for about 5 minutes did I begin to regain my faculties and the ability to breath normally. I began to be able to think again without fighting the haze of rage that had built to a murderous level. It took some time to clean myself up on the side of the road and get enough strength back in my limbs to be able to drive.
After I arrived home much later I talked the event over with my family. My wife has seen me go through this many, many times over the last several years. These Rage Attacks are physically very similar to Panic Attacks but they have nothing in common in their genesis. Having quick access to Valium is ineffective in stopping Rage Attacks once they begin. With a Panic Attack, I can often realize a trigger and remove myself from the situation thereby cutting the attack short or heading it off with a Valium and seclusion. There is no such respite from a Rage Attack.
I have realized that due to my inability to control my mood swings, when my anger rises to the point of rage, I have passed the point of no return and an Attack is inevitable. In the past, I have had these Rage Attacks only twice while physically confronted with an individual who has triggered the event. In one case the individual who triggered the event fled while others delayed me. Once they were away from my immediate vicinity, my Rage Attack progressed through its typical physical manifestations ending in me collapsing into a vomiting mass of flesh. The other time the individual who triggered it was trying to confront me physically. It took a bystander with a 2x4 to break my hold and save the person's life. That incident ended with me having a prolonged "black out" where I can't remember much of any thing after the intervention of wood until about 4 hours later. I know the person who attacked me ended up getting in their truck and leaving while I was being held at bay... but I only remember flashes of events after the person attacked me.
With today's Rage Attack, I realized that I have another manifestation of my illness that I need to discuss with my doctor. I was told once before that there was nothing they could do for my anger problems. I hope medicine has advanced or they have thought of an alternative. These Rage Attacks are physically the equal to Panic Attacks but due to their genesis, the speed at which they come on me is honestly frightening.
This newly recognized manifestation of my illness has me very concerned. My mood swings and anger issues have had me frightened of consequences but couple it with the Rage Attacks and a whole new dimension of my illness gets defined. People often wonder why I seclude myself from others. Maybe one day I will find the language to tell people why it is best for me not to be around people. Somehow I don't think "you won't like me when I'm angry" will get the desired result....

The Current Democratic Party and the Modern Liberal (Part 1 of 3)
Liberal: Willing to respect or accept behaviour or opinions different from one’s own;
- Oxford English Dictionary
I
will preface this by saying I once was thought of as very Liberal. I
believe governments have no business in the sexual activity of
consenting adults and whatever happened in a person’s bedroom is their
own business. I support the right to choose and believe abortion should
remain legal. I recognize the existence of racism and believe it is
something that should be rooted out instead of celebrated. I believe
there is no “one true” religion and think all religions of positive
belief should be encouraged. I believe in “alternate” forms of media and
press in that I believe special interests are challenged when small
groups can report on issues and events. I believe people are inherently
equal and should be respected even if their opinions, practices, and
beliefs differ from my own. I believe a person has the right to say
anything as long as it is true and doesn’t incite others to violence.
Today,
however, these beliefs no longer ally me with the "Modern Liberal". In
fact, I have been ridiculed and even had my own child snidely relegate
me to "the enemy" camp with regards to modern liberal beliefs and
identity. Modern Democrats, and by their leadership Modern Liberals,
have moved outside of the normal of society and become representative of
the fringe elements of our culture.
Historically,
Liberals believed in certain hallmarks that separated them from other
groups. Freedoms such as speech, the press, religion, free markets
“Capitalism”, Civil Rights, democratic society, secular government,
general equality, and international cooperation were enshrined as a
philosophy for a free people. John Locke is often credited with being
the founder of liberalism as a traditional world view. Liberalism was
created to combat “absolutism” in government and social contracts. I
believe John Locke would disavow the current incarnation of his beloved
philosophy. Today, Liberal means the very thing that it was created to
combat, absolutism.
To
be a modern Liberal, a person has to believe many things that are
extreme in our culture or they are simply thought to not be “liberal
enough”, and are considered enemies. For the most part, Democrats have
fanned the flames of cultural change to alter the perspective of the
masses and the very meaning of thoughts and the definition of common
terms. I place the blame for this squarely with the Democratic Party and
their “royal” leadership. Truth has become subjective and liars
elevated to positions of power and leadership. For a simple and easy
reference, consider Harry Reid’s response when confronted about
spreading lies and false allegations during the 2012 election. Reid and
his fellow elite responded that the result justified the lies.[1]
This
blind adherence to “say it loud, say if often, and make them believe”
has transformed the Democratic Party of America into the monster it is
today. I myself hold Truth to be a sacred thing that should transcend
political party or media desire. The fact that truth is held hostage by
those in power is a horrid example of how far the principles of
Liberalism have fallen from their root.
Harry
Reid isn't the only politician to sacrifice truth on the altar of
fanaticism. Former President Barak Obama made lying an art during his
life and tenure in office. From oft-repeated speeches where he cried the
mantra of "If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor[2]”
to the wishful dreaming where Obama said many times in interviews
before leaving office that he had led a "scandal free" administration[3] despite
many high profile scandals which had dogged him during the entirety of
his Presidency. Although the scandals were too many to enumerate here I
will simply mention the “Fast and Furious” along with the “IRS Tea
Party” scandals references. As a special note, the “Fast and Furious”
scandal was never investigated by Congress and remains to this day
caught up in the courts due to Obama exerting “executive privilege[4]”
to prevent anyone within his administration from testifying about the
issue. Only recently have the courts ruled this executive privilege
claim spurious. Considering this was done by an administration that
claimed to bring Transparency to Washington you have to wonder what
their definition of transparency happens to be.
This
apathy and enmity directed toward truthfulness are reflected not only
in the leadership of the Democratic Party but also prevalent in
Hollywood Liberals. For instance, consider the sheer volume of
celebrities who swore to leave the country should Donald Trump be
elected President. The various celebrities glibly delivered this
ultimatum to shock their fans and coerce the more liberal minded into
blindly following their lead. It should be noted that the many
celebrities, from Miley Cirus to Whoopie Goldberg, refused to follow
through on their promise. Many, such as Amy Schumer, came forward and
said; "it was only a joke" in explaining why their lies were not to be
taken seriously.
Another
example of Liberalism falling victim to the expediency of the
Democratic Party is the insistence by the Democratic establishment,
media, and the liberal hoards who follow them in labeling our current
President, Donald Trump, as racist. I have had arguments with Democrats
over the last year discussing this very topic. The issue isn't a point
of fact of Donald Trump's beliefs but is instead the actual meaning of
racism. For instance, President Trump calls that criminals were coming
across the border were labeled as a racist statement[5].
Racism is defined as a belief that one race is inherently superior or
inferior to another. Neither “illegal alien”, “Mexican”, “migrant”, nor
“immigrant” is a reference to race. Liberals now argue the meaning of
the word, trying to change it to fit their criteria instead of following
the facts. Worst still is the claims of a "Fascist President" from
people who are in fact practicing Fascism. I will go into the Fascist
issue later. Modern Liberals want to change the definition of terms to
fit their view of a "shock factor" in labeling their opponents with
divisive or hateful terms. I would like to point out that Donald Trump
was considered a champion of equality and Civil Rights right up until
the moment he chose to run against a Democrat[6].
Today
we also see a cry of “fake news” by people on all sides of the
political spectrum. Democrats have even cited the reason for Hillary
Clinton’s election loss as “Fake News”[7].
To be fair, though, Democrats have blamed "fake news", racism, Russia,
old white folks, the KKK, Barak Obama, the FBI, and even voter
suppression for Hillary Clinton's loss. At no time have they expressed
the belief that their candidate may have been flawed or perhaps her 30+
scandal-filled years in the public eye might have been too much of a
burden to overcome. Questions about her health, legal problems, ethical
issues, truthfulness, or suitability for President are out of bounds as
it must have been nefarious agents to take away her being crowned our
newest royal. Whenever a group refuses to look at possible failings from
themselves one has to ask if they are of a healthy mindset. Only in
America can a political party fail so miserably over multiple elections
and still assume they are faultless.
A
free and fair news media is necessary for the health of our nation.
While Modern Liberals and the Democratic Party decry any negative media
as fake, they use their control of American Media Conglomerates to
propagate a relentless tide of propaganda. Websites like Politico
publish news tailored to bolster the Democratic Party at the expense of
the truth[8].
News agencies publish the ravings of bloggers as if it were proven fact
even when the sources are easily verified and found to be false[9].
Rumor and theories created by individuals paid to smear Donald Trump
are covered as if it were established fact beyond the questioning by any
outside of the chosen elite[10].
The truth is as mutable as the wind to these news agencies. The simple,
easily observable, fact that the American Media is biased for, and
often acts as agents of the Democratic Party, seems to pass beyond the
notice of Modern Liberals as they instead cleave to the barest,
sensational, rumor as if it were spoken by the mouth of God. For
reference, actually read the Wikileaks emails of John Podesta to see
that NBC, CNN, ABC, and CBS colluded with the Clinton Campaign on
multiple occasions to work against the Republican Party[11].
I’m
sure it will be noted that I did not list Fox News. I am sure some will
see this as proof that I myself and biased or am hiding any atrocities
Fox News may have done. In truth, I couldn’t think of any examples of
Fox News being linked, with evidence, to a political party or of their
news articles being retracted or refuted as fake news. There are some
opinion articles that skirt the lines of sensationalism and sensibility
but as they are opinion and do not proclaim to be fact, they must be
excluded here.
To
be fair, both parties seem to be hung up on "fake news" and trying to
define the label. To me, fake news is news without adherence to the
tenets of journalistic conventions. Writing an article on a theory that a
person is a racist, based on easily verifiable truths, where the
verification isn't done, qualifies as "fake news" and should not be
protected under the First Amendment. Take for instance the claim that
Donald Trump removed the bust of Martin Luther King Jr from the Oval
Office. The simple fact that no such thing had happened didn't stop a
reporter from making the sensationalists claim[12] or
from other news agencies from picking up the claim and reporting it as
fact. In my belief, the news created for the "shock value" or to advance
an agenda without the benefits of fact and truth should be treated as
tabloid journalism and agencies who produce or promote such articles
should be barred from covering government stories. News companies who
work for and with a candidate for office should lose any and all
protections afforded journalists. News companies who do such acts
should, in fact, be forced to report their income and activities to the
Federal Election Committee as campaign activity or face legal
consequences.
Modern
Liberalism has also co-opted equality movements such as those regarding
Women’s Liberation, LGBT concerns, and Abortion Rights. Under the guise
of unity, they have placed these movements on the altar of fanaticism
and taken extream positions on these topics. While I support “gay
marriage”, I am not considered an ally by most because I believe the
contractual marriage between individuals with the government is a
separate issue than religious or community acceptance. I still believe
people have the right to their own beliefs when it comes to LGBT issues.
For instance, the bakers who refused to make a lesbian wedding cake
should not have been drug into court. The community should have decided
on whose side they stood and the bakery should have stood or fallen by
the will of the customers, not a court. Courts can not mandate how a
person feels. Judicial orders should not be used to force individuals to
believe a certain way. When a bakery run by a gay couple refused to
bake a KKK cake, the courts refused to act. This is making morality and
beliefs a judicial function and by doing so they attempt to remove the
rights of one group in preference to another. Courts have tried to
litigate racism away but instead, they simply quantified racism and have
made the issue more pervasive. I believe the same path is being taken
regarding LGBT issues. Only in cases where actual monetary harm has
occurred should the courts become involved. In the case of the cake,
the couple could have easily gone to another bakery shop and with their
friends stopped patronizing the offending bakers.
Abortion
rights is another issue where the Modern Liberal has driven many of
those who support the right for women to have an abortion towards the
ranks of their "enemies". My specific belief is that a woman should
always have access to abortion. That being said I feel that women who
use abortion as a means of birth control should have their access to the
procedure, or their reproduction rights, limited by judicial order. I
have met women who refuse to use birth control and have multiple
abortions. One memorable case comes to mind where an acquaintance of my
wife said they always gave her good drugs who had four abortions in the
span of a year. In these cases, I believe the individual's right to an
abortion is being abused and the frequency of the abortions should
trigger some method of review to make sure the person is mentally stable
and not pursuing destructive behavior at the cost of an unborn life.
Mothers are punished now if they smoke during pregnancy… so shouldn't it
be rational that those who end their pregnancy for a drug high also be
punished?
This issue relates to another that divides the Modern Liberals from the rest of the country, the 2nd Amendment and the cognitive dissonance seen regarding social issues. Modern Liberals believe the 2nd Amendment
should be restricted or revoked, notwithstanding the fact that it is a
right canonized within the Constitution and alterable only by a
constitutional amendment. Roe v Wade, the case that guarantees abortion,
is a Supreme Court decision that could be altered by any future rulings
by the court. Modern Liberals believe there should be absolutely no
restrictions on abortion. Even restrictions for health and safety are
taboo and anyone who suggests even requiring sanitation regulations is
accused of trying to void the decision of the Court. By refusing to
accept even the hint of a regulation or restriction, Modern Liberals and
their Democrat leaders force an adversarial and antagonistic
relationship with those who share a different point of view. To compare
this with the 2nd Amendment,
every State has some type of restrictions on the exercise and
Democratic-controlled bastions such as Chicago and Washington DC keep
crafting regulations that run afoul of the Supreme Court in their zeal
to circumvent a Constitutional guarantee.
To
finish this article, I would like to draw attention to the true
betrayal of Liberal ideology by Modern Liberals. Liberalism was created
to be tolerant of other beliefs and ideals. Locke envisioned a core
belief where opposing ideas were not only tolerated but encouraged.
Liberalism used to mean tolerance and acceptance of opposing views.
Today, Modern Liberals have been lead by the siren song of elitism and
lies laid down by their Democrat leaders into a stance of utter
intolerance and hostility to any opposing belief or thought. For years,
those who spoke against the agenda laid forth by Democrats and
championed by their social justice warriors has faced ridicule and even
punishment previously not seen outside of Fascist regimes or vicious
Autocracies.
Take
for instance the hostility and utter contempt taught on college
campuses for ideology outside of the Modern Liberal mindset. The youth
of America are being taught there is only one "right way" to think or
act. They are being told by their teachers and politicians to act in
ways which are anathema to Classic Liberal philosophy. Over the last
decade, Liberalism has morphed into a dogma of destruction, denial, and
violence in modern society. Take for instance the recent riots in UC
Berkley by students and faculty where people were attacked and injured
for not believing the way the Modern Liberal is commanded to believe.
Free Speech was shut down as a danger to the control Democrats have over
the Modern Liberal[13].
The simple threat of someone with opposing views speaking on a college
campus was enough to send hundreds of “tolerant liberals” to the streets
in a wave of violence. Actions like these are seen as normal and
encouraged by the media elite and the Democrat politicians, some of whom
said it was a “good beginning[14]”.
In general, Democrats link this type of violent outburst as some type
of protest against the Republican President and tell people that it is
their obligation to “oppose” thoughts that do not agree with their
authoritarian decrees.
By
itself, such actions could be seen as an aberration. Sadly, Democrats
used the same strategies and tactics during the 2016 election to
mobilize the youth by telling them they are expected to be violent.
Riots in cities like Chicago were used to shut down political opponents
and prevent them from speaking[15].
Cities like Fergusson and Baltimore saw massive property destruction,
looting, and other criminal behavior under the guise of Modern
Liberalism while the Democrats sat back and called the behavior
understandable and acceptable.
Modern
Liberal beliefs demand that any opposing view is shouted down. Any
opposing thought must be crushed. Anyone with a contrary opinion must be
labeled as the enemy. All opposition must be brought down using any
means necessary regardless of its legality or truthfulness. Simply look
at the Democratic Party since the election of 2016. Their response to
everything has been to hurl insults, accusations, and pure vitriol at
their opponents. The Democratic leadership has declared that they shall
not work with an opposing party regardless of the issue. They are trying
to bring down the government and seem willing to incite a civil war in
hopes of destroying America to bring about the dream of Modern Liberal
thought.
I shall address other issues mentioned above in a subsequent article.
